So the end of HP... I guess? I've never really liked the movies, so for me the series was over when the 7th book came out

In fact, beyond just not liking the movies, a small part of me actively dislikes them. I was so so in love with the series when I started reading it, and I had everything drawn out in my head-- how the characters looked, how Hogwarts was laid out, how the spells were pronounced-- everything. But now, it's impossible to separate the movie actors from the characters. When I think of Ron, Rupert Grint just pops in my head, even though I think he's totally wrong for the character. It's unavoidable.

I never really like it when books are made into movies. Usually, the movie falls way short of really conveying what the books did. Harry Potter did a better job than most, I suppose, but I still wish they'd left it alone.

(Although Emma Watson is wonderfully gorgeous, so there was one good thing to come out of it! XD)
